While prep football matchups in 2009 won’t be hammered out until late this week, rumor has it that Brophy may not schedule St. Mary’s this fall. The Broncos have dominated the series the past decade after St. Mary’s controlled it through much of the 1980s and early 1990s. St. Mary’s leads the series, 29-22, with the Knights last win coming in 2002. The teams aren’t in the same region for the first time in a long time after realignment last fall. Stay tuned for further developments.

not right and very arrogant by brophy
FOR SHAME BROPHY. Don’t turn your back on 50-years of tradition.
st. Mary’s was too embarrassed to keep losing to brophy so they turned the cowardly way and left the division
the only reason we didnt want to schedule is because we dont want to make saint marys suffer to much just take alook at the scores for the past games its been a blowout and why shedule the game if we are trying to get more power points to actually get to a state title again and win we should just start a rivalry with hamilton there more of a competition then saint marys.. go broncos!
